Seventymm plans to expand its presence to 40 cities in 5 years

Movie rental company Seventymm.com, which is currently present in six cities in India, plans to expand to 40 cities in the next five years. The company aims to reach a target of four million customers from its current 70,000 in the same period.

Seventymm.com recently raised Rs 50 crore in Series C funding led by NEA-Indo US Ventures. The company had earlier raised Rs 40 crore in funding from VC firms including Matrix Partners India, Draper Fisher Jurvetson and ePlanet Ventures. [Source: Financial Express]

i see they ARE dabbling in the on-demand space.

They need to get into video-on-demand or this is a complete waste of time and money, given that the BIG guys are obviously planning correctly for the kill.
