PaisaWaisa.com allows users to file their taxes online

Financial services portal PaisaWaisa.com, a part of Rupiz Infotech Group, has introduced a new e-tax section on the site that would enable users to file their taxes online.

E-filing, introduced by the government of India in 2006, has been finding a significant number of takers among the Indian masses. According to the latest statistics, online tax return filings in 2005-06 were 3.7 lakh, and the number went up by almost 600 per cent to 21.93 lakh in 2006-07, with over 11 per cent opting for e-returns using digital signatures.

Seeraj Chawla, co-founder, PaisaWaisa.com, has said, “E-filing is the way to go for the Indian masses. Earlier, when this facility was not available, there was always a feeling of prolonged frustration whenever the date for filing tax returns came nearer. Thanks to the government's initiative, this problem has been simplified to a large extent.”

This indeed is a very good initiative taken by paisawaisa.com. Moreover, introducing community features for a finance website is totally a new concept.

@ Vivek, I think they have also taken www.paisavaisa.com because this domain also gets re-directed to www.paisawaisa.com. So they shudn't loose any type in traffic from radio Ads. The concept seems fine & the offering is good. Best of luck guys.

I think its a great step........to give us an opportunity to file return online.....but there is flip n flop side also.Flip bcz its free......flop (can be).........as its free ....what is the credibility ?should be well taken care of from the intruders......

This is really a nice initiative by Paisawaisa.com to offer Tax Filing for Free.There are many portals which give such Tax filing services but paisawaisa.com has left them behind by giving this service for Free.It seems to be a new player in the finance market but looks as if it will soon reach the masses.All the best PaisaWaisa.com,i look forward for more news from your end.

Yes, Nice name. Though I think they'll run into type-in traffic loss (if and when they decide to do Radio ads) unless they have also taken the domains with spelling variations.
