Info Edge (Naukri) plans to invest Rs 6.5 crore in Applect Learning Systems

Info Edge India (Naukri.com) is planning to invest Rs 6.5 crore for a 40 per cent stake in Applect Learning Systems. Info Edge has already made investment in Delhi-based education portal StudyPlaces.com.

Applect Learning Systems provides custom content development services to corporates with a focus on education in the K-12 (KG-to-12) segment. Info Edge has already invested Rs one crore in Applect.com, reports Business Standard.

Info Edge India has also launched Shiksha.com, an education portal that aims to connect education seeker with education provider. The company plans to invest $5- $10 million (approx Rs 20-40 crore) on Shiksha.com over the next three years.

TO update Alootechie, studyplaces.com has returned Naukri.com's money as naukri started its own shiksha.com portal(Smart move naukri).
