Google, Yahoo introduce one-click opt-out Ads policy

Yahoo and Google have introduced a one-click opt-out policy that allows users to shut off targeted advertising on these sites. The move follows scrutiny by a US Congressional committee over the intrusiveness of online advertising and behavioural targeting.

Recently, the US lawmakers had asked more than 30 companies including Google, Yahoo and Microsoft to provide information about the surfing data they collect from internet users and how the data are used to customize advertising.
